Last week our Republican State Senator Ryan Fazio expressed disappointment here that his opponent Democrat Nick Simmons is not keeping his promise to run a positive campaign on the issues. Fazio says here that Simmons is running one of the most negative and deceptive campaigns in the Town's history. Simmons argues here that Fazio should be standing up against the evil Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again efforts.
More promises broken. Our Republican First Selectman Fred Camillo issued this Statement saying that Democrats' disregard of the longstanding political sign tradition is a slap in the face to voters. Camillo is bothered by the clutter of Democrat political signs in public spaces around Greenwich. He says there has been an informal agreement for 22 years between the Democrats and Republicans that political signs in public places in Greenwich would wait until two weeks before the election. Putting them on private lawns makes sense, but we should delay putting them in public places, especially on Put's Hill (where the crocuses bloom in Spring).
Between the lines: Remember what happened to the tender-hearted woman who took in the snake?
