Tiffine Kyte, 37, of Johnstown, PA, was charged last week for her role in a sophisticated multi-state vehicle theft ring. Using tech-driven cloning techniques, Kyte and her accomplices systematically stole high-end vehicles from dealerships across the Tri-State area. A Tri-State Operation. Could white Western Middle School families opting for Central trigger forced redistricting?
The debate over the new Central Middle School (CMS) has shifted from blueprints to an uncomfortable reality: the town built a school too big for the current neighborhood. The new facility is sized for 660 students, but the local neighborhood currently provides only 450-500 students. Open Enrollment? Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones recently recommended "Open Enrollment" to fill the seats and the response was immediate. Of the 21 students raising their hands to move in the ini

Meet the new Hamill Rink plan, same as the old plan
The story first leaked on December 18, 2025, in the Greenwich Democrat Town Committee newsletter here . The reconstituted Hamill Rink Task Force had come to a decision. The task force unanimously recommended a "modified flip" for the new rink. Wait — isn't this the same flip recommended by Selectman Camillo two years ago and the same flip that was rejected by the town legislative body (RTM) back in January 2025? The newsletter was written with a fawning display of praise fo

Raw deal: Greenwich's untreated sewage seeping into local rivers.
Sewage pipes in Greenwich might be leaking untreated wastewater into local waterways. Save the Sound found high levels of bacteria not just following heavy rainfall, but also on dry days. That could point to a bigger problem of sanitary sewer infrastructure underground. Save the Sound tested ten sites in Greenwich and found six were not deemed safe to swim in. They include East Branch Byram River, Pemberwick Creek, Horseneck Brook, Byram Park, Byram River at Comley Avenue
