Board of Education (BOE)
The Board of Education is the governing body of the Greenwich Public Schools (11 elementary, 3 middle schools and one high school). The Board oversees matters of great importance to parents including the teaching curriculum and spending priorities. The Board consists of eight elected members serving four year terms with four members elected every two years. There are four members from each party. The chair is selected by the members, but if they can't agree, the Board of Selectmen chooses.
