Meeting tonight addresses public outcry over two year closure of North Street Bridge

In response to resident concerns about the North Street bridge project, the Department of Public Works has scheduled a public meeting at Town Hall and on Zoom on Wed Oct 9 at 7:30 pm.

Key communiy concerns are the lengthy construction time frame of up to two years, diversion of traffic and the impact on drainage.

Eight schools with 7,000 students are located within one mile of this bridge and North Street is a major artery where 9,500 commuters pass per day. No wonder the neighborhood is up in arms.

Between the lines: This meeting has been rescheduled twice from Oct 7 to Oct. 8 and then to Oct 9.
