On Thursday night, September 12, a Greenwich High School football team bus was traveling back from West Haven. The bus driver entered I-95 in Norwalk in the wrong direction. He recovered by making a U-turn onto the exit ramp.
The incident is under investigation including video footage from the bus
Last year, in April 2023, on a report of dangerous driving at North Street School, the School District tried, but could not, disqualify the school bus driver Nadia Micourt. In reaction to what was called "draconian", all school bus drivers in Greenwich called in sick for a day.
Between the lines: For now the wrong way bus driver is not permitted to drive long routes on after school hours. But what about the shorter routes?
