A group of four Byram residents is seeking to halt the new ice rink project based on its proximity to a senior housing complex and the Eugene Morlot Memorial Park.
The appeal to halt the project was filed by Byram residents Al Shehadi, Joseph Kantorski, Liz Eckert and Lucy von Brachel.
The RTM (Representative Town Committee) will take this up at its meeting on Tuesday January 21.
Greenwich First Selectman Camillo is in favor of the project. His update is here. He calls the existing 53-year old Dorothy Hamill rink the worst in Fairfield County, and maybe one of the worst in the State. And he urges residents to support the rink in his recent letter here.
Meanwhile, as the project moves forward at a glacial pace, the price tag has risen 5% over last year according to this Greenwich Time story.
