The Board of Education is the governing body of the Greenwich Public Schools (11 elementary, 3 middle schools and one high school). The Board consists of eight elected members serving four year terms with four members elected every two years.  This year there are five candidates because M-J Mercanti-Anthony is running to fill an open seat.  The chair is selected by the members, but if they can't agree, the Board of Selectmen chooses.
