The Port Chester Stalker Case Just Got Much Bigger—and Much Worse

More disturbing details have emerged in the case of Hector Vargas, the 32-year-old Port Chester man initially accused of stalking and minor assault after grabbing a 13-year-old girl on her way to a Greenwich middle school in September 2025.
Yesterday, we wrote about his re-arrest after police discovered voyeurism evidence on his cellphone, leaving open the terrifying question: Which local establishment had its privacy so grossly violated?
Thanks to an explosive follow-up report from the GreenwichTime and subsequent police updates, we now have that answer—and the scope of his alleged crimes is much worse than initially feared.
The Restaurant Connection
According to the arrest warrant, police discovered cellphone images from August 2025 taken at Bosco’s Bar & Grill, where Vargas was employed at the time of his arrest. The digital evidence includes:
"Upskirt" photos of an unidentified juvenile female.
Voyeuristic video recordings of a female coworker inside the restaurant.
In a chilling twist, the warrant notes that the family of the 13-year-old victim routinely visited the restaurant. Vargas had actually waited on them multiple times dating back to 2023, when the establishment operated under the name OG Social.
Escalating Evidence
The restaurant was not his only target. Investigators also uncovered separate voyeuristic videos of high school-aged girls, which Vargas allegedly recorded outside the McDonald’s on East Putnam Avenue.
Between the Lines: Just when you thought this case couldn't get any worse, it does. What began as an investigation into a targeted attack has unraveled into a widespread pattern of predatory behavior. It is a sobering reminder for local families of how easily a threat can hide in plain sight, masquerading as a familiar face at a favorite neighborhood spot.
