Why join picketers at a protest when you can pick the real thing at Lyman Orchards

On Saturday, June 14, from 10 am to 4 pm. Lyman Orchards in Middletown, CT will host its annual Strawberry Festival. The event will feature strawberry picking, live music, food trucks and various activities for all ages.


Admission is free. Strawberries are at their peak now. $8 for a quart of picked berries. Strawberry shortcakes are for sale for $8. There is a pie-eating contest for adults and children too!


Between the Lines: Also, on Saturday, June 14, Democrats will lead the "No Kings Nationwide Day of Defiance" in cities throughout CT. Where would you rather be to celebrate the start of Summer?
