We have our first case of West Nile virus in Greenwich. This is the seventh case in the state of Connecticut this year.
The individual, between 60-70 years of age, became ill in early August with fever, headache, fatigue and some neurological symptoms. She was not hospitalized and is recuperating.
Only about one out of 150 people infected with West Nile Virus develop a serious, sometimes fatal illness, according to the CDC.
Between the lines: Not to worry, fatalities are rare; however, you may want to worry about the many more cases of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) causing some neurological symptoms.
