Two Inmates Charged in Violent Greenwich Car Jacking

A pair of career criminals already behind bars are facing heavy new charges for an aggressive carjacking on Railroad Avenue in central Greenwich.

Greenwich Police caught up with Connecticut DOC inmates Zachary Alexander Colvin (30) and Meghan Elizabeth Dodgson (35), at the Stamford Superior Court on June 17. The Vernon, CT residents were hit with felony warrants stemming from a joint investigation into a violent carjacking on January 10, 2026.

Colvin, who was slapped with a $500,000 bond, faces charges of Robbery by Carjacking, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and fraud for attempting to use the victim's stolen credit cards. Dodgson was hit with a $175,000 bond, charged with conspiracy and first-degree criminal trover. Both were processed by Greenwich investigators before being handed right back to Judicial Marshals for arraignment.

Between the Lines: This case underscores a growing frustration among suburban residents and law enforcement alike: the cycle of career criminals committing violent acts in our communities while already known to the justice system.
