On Saturday July 12, around 1 pm, Greenwich Police received a License Plate Reader alert for a vehicle wanted in connection with past mail theft. They arrested three men in the process of stealing mail from mailboxes in the vicinity of Lake Avenue and Parsonage Road.

Police found 7 stolen checks on one of the arrested persons. In the vehicle, police found 30 pieces of stolen mail, 78 checks and stolen items totaling about $3,700.

Their names were Kimarley L. McKenzie, 31, Shea T. Grant, 27, and Ian Devonte Brown, 29, all from the Bronx, NY.

Between the Lines: The useful life of the mailbox is over.
