Thief caught checking car locks at Greenwich Library had 2 prior arrests

Greenwich Library Parking Lot. This week Greenwich Police responded to the Greenwich Library parking lot on West Putnam Ave on a report of a man attempting to enter vehicles as reported by the Greenwich Free Press. When police stopped Nigel Brewington, 24, of Port Chester, he provided false demographic information. Police were able to use the booking information from the similar incident in February and Brewington admitted to pulling on vehicle doors and lying about his demographic information. He was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt Larceny 6 and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting.

Two Prior Arrests. It was further discovered that there were two active arrest warrants for Mr. Brewington for failure to appear (FTA) in court. One FTA was for the Attempted Larceny 6 charges in February, and a second FTA was for an incident in December 2023  where he was charged with No Insurance, No License, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle. Brewington was able to post the 7% cash option of his $10,000 bond and was released. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on march 25.

Question: Given his failure to appear in court on 2 prior arrests, do you think he will appear in court this time?
