Last week, the Democrat supermajority in control of Connecticut's House and Senate rammed through an omnibus housing bill that puts the State in charge of local zoning. This was done during a special emergency session without bi-partisan vetting or public input.


Connecticut is now attracting unwanted national attention for this insane State policy that is one of the most extreme in the nation. The New York Post ran this story written by Betsy McCaughey, former Lt Governor of NY. She said in a tweet here

Governor Lamont (D) wisely vetoed a similar housing bill back in June of this year. But this time, fearing a primary challenge in 2026 from the Democrat Party's left flank, Lamont said that he is ready to sign this bill.
