For those of us who have suffered through the construction mess at the Stamford Train Station, host to an important Amtrak/Acela stop, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The massive new garage is now complete and the project is expected to be fully finished/cleaned up by the Fall 2024. The garage is massive with 914 parking spaces, 92 EV chargers and 120 spots for bicycles (hope the security is good). This blog by Jim Cameron, 19 year member of the CT Rail Commuter Council, provides good history about the $100 million project which started in 2006 to replace a 1985 garage that was crumbling from neglect.
