On Tuesday morning, January 28, around 10 am, a black male dressed in black with a black face mask displayed a gun during a shoplifting incident at the Riverside Commons shopping Center at 1239 East Putnam Avenue. This is the address of CVS.
The suspect, 26-year-old Jaden C. Williams, stole merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. When the store employee confronted him, Williams pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the store employee who backed away.
Police identified the suspect and arrested him at his residence in Riverside, CT. His facebook page shows that he was a Greenwich High School football player.
Between the lines: It's no longer called shoplifting when you threaten someone with a gun, that's called armed robbery.
