At the March 25 public hearing at the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET), First Selectman Fred Camillo said his top priorities included (1) funding for sidewalks to Tods (along Shore Road from Sound Beach to Tods), (2) Old Greenwich School renovation and (3) the Glenville Corridor project.
He clarified that the sidewalk to Tod's would not go to through the causeway as depicted on a map on the town website. It would stop before the property owned by Lucas Point, the association that owns the causeway and grants the town an easement.
Note: This change might make the project much less expensive but less attractive to bikers and pedestrians and possibly add more pedestrian traffic through the Lucas Point association.
