Greenwich Police extradited a suspect in the May 2022 burglary of a Riverside home that allegedly netted over $1 million in jewelry from a bedroom safe. Stefano Cortes-Munoz, 30, of Santiago, Chile has been charged. These "Tourist Burglars" enter the United States and commit several burglaries in an area of high end homes without alarms, and then leave the United States, returning to their country of origin." A court hearing is scheduled in Stamford on Feb 5.
