Ring of organized thieves on Greenwich Ave

Greenwich Police arrested three men suspected of being a part of an organized retail theft group last Thursday.

Police spotted suspicious behavior in a local retail store. Surveillance of the individuals revealed that they were actively concealing merchandise within a foil lined “booster bag” and all had engaged in an effort to do so by distracting employees, acting as lookouts, and using their bodies to obstruct their actions.

Greenwich detectives and plainclothes officers tracked the suspects back to their vehicle where they detained, positively identified them and arrested them. Police say the group were all part of an Organized Retail Theft Group that, minutes prior, had committed a larceny in a neighboring jurisdiction. When they arrived in Greenwich their vehicle had a misused registration. Those charged were:

  1. Yorman Arturo Cerranoclavel, 30, of Manhattan, NY

  2. Edlander Moises Garcia-Cabrera, 26, address not reported. Operating an unregistered motor vehicle

  3. Keiuer Eduardo Perez-Salas, of Bronx, NY
