Republicans aim to break Democrat control of Greenwich CT Assembly seats

Last week the Republican Town Committee (RTC) announced its candidates for the upcoming November 5 election. In addition to the incumbent State Senator Ryan Fazio, The RTC is aiming to break the lock that the Democrats have on the three State House Assembly seats that cover Greenwich.

District 149 (covers North End of Greenwich and part of North Stamford) held by one-term incumbent Democrat Rachel Khanna:

Republican Tina Courpas

150th District (covers Greenwich Shoreline) held by three-term incumbent Democrat Stephen Meskers:

Republican Paul Capielli, former Harbormaster of Greenwich

151st District (covering mid-Greenwich) held by one-term incumbent Democrat Hector Arzeno:

Republican Tod Laudonia, former tax collector in Greenwich.

All three Republican challengers highlight their strong objection to their Democrat opponents who recently voted in favor of development around our railroad stations that would bypasses local zoning rules and permit multi-family apartments in single family neighborhoods.
