Do those late night ads from title lock services make you worried about someone stealing your home's deed? Worry no more. Greenwich has your back.

The Town Clerk has just launched a free real property activity alert system for all residents. The service is designed to notify you about activity affecting your property records on file with the official land records in the Town Clerk’s office.

Property owners can sign up to receive real-time alerts whenever their name appears in a land property recording with the town, allowing you to act quickly if any suspicious activity occurs. Just visit the website here and click "Property Alert" at the top of the page.

As Town Clerk Jackie Budkins says, “This system is a major step forward in warning residents about potential property fraud and ensuring peace of mind.”

Between the Lines: That's cheap insurance for a Greenwich home that has an average value north of $2 million.
