According to the Patch, Wenze Chen, 18, of Flushing, NY, and Zhiwei Dong, also 18, of Brooklyn, NY, were both arrested by Greenwich police on Wednesday and were charged with third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.
"Chen and Dong conducted a fraudulent transaction in which they returned counterfeit merchandise in substitute for the original authentic product in an attempt to defraud and falsely deprive the victim business of $3,650," authorities wrote in a statement. "A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed additional counterfeit merchandise."
Both Chen and Dong were released after each posted bond on bail of $10,000, and are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 3.
