Plea deal with hatchet wielding North Mianus home invader

Miguel Angel Pedrosa, 54, of Stamford, has been in state custody for the past two years unable to post a $500,000 bond for his arrest for home invasion and other charges in 2022. Now, a judge offered him a deal: take a plea deal, do 10 years in state prison or go to trial. Pedrosa is currently facing six felony and seven misdemeanor charges in connection with home invasion related charges, including risk of injury to a child.

Greenwich police said Pedrosa rampaged through a home first with a knife, and then, several hours later, with a hatchet when children were present. Pedrosa allegedly broke down the front door to the home with the hatchet and then, once inside, began “swinging the hatchet wildly with his left hand” before leaving the home in the North Mianus neighborhood.
