Oh Those Eye-Catching Greenwich Police Rookies
On June 29, the Greenwich Police Department posted an eye-catching picture on their Facebook page announcing the hiring of four new trainees.
Local blogger Christopher Fountain quickly jumped on the visual, suggesting that the trainees be "shipped off to rookie school where, presumably, the gentleman in the middle will be gently introduced to the concept of appropriate dress."
He wasn't the only one who noticed. Over at the Greenwich Sentinel, the story exploded online, racking up almost 600 comments from residents deeply analyzing the rookie's bold choice of checkered pants and a beige jacket.
