The Greenwich Police Department just posted their police blotter for the month of October 2025. They received 3,544 calls for service during the month. The number of stolen vehicles jumped and car break-ins and residential burglaries continue on pace. There were 201 motor vehicle collisions, the most all year.

Vehicle thefts There were eight vehicle thefts: Four in central Greenwich (on Putnam Ave near Whole Foods, on Railroad Ave near the Lexus dealer, on Greenwich Ave near GingerMan, and on Elm Street near Greenwich Ave), Two were in Old Greenwich (near Old Greenwich School and on Keofferam Rd near Sound Beach Ave), one in Mead Point (on Indian Field Road) and one in Cos Cob (on Field Road near Valleywood Rd).

Car Break-ins There were five car break-ins: two in Belle Haven (on Mayo Avenue and Intervale Place), one in Riverside (on Hidden Brook Drive near Meadow Rd), one on West Putnam near Citarella and one on Railroad Avenue near Arch Street.

Residential Burglaries There were three residential burglaries, one at Field Point Circle in Belle Haven, one on Homestead Lane in Pemberwick near Putnam Ave and one in backcountry on Round Hill Road near Close Road.

Between the Lines: Don't leave your car or home unlocked and drive carefully around town.
