The Greenwich Police introduced a new crime reporting platform last month. You can access it here. It's not too user-friendly, but some of the features are worth the effort. For example, you can look up crime by street name. Here is what was reported over the last two months:

For the month of April 2026, there were 2 residential burglaries (on Glen Road and on Nedley Lane in Glenville), 6 vehicle thefts (on Lower Cross Road, Stanwich Road and Juniper Hill Road in Northeast Greenwich, on Indian Point Lane in Riverside, on Sherwood Farms Road in Glenville, and on Greenwich Avenue), and 3 car break-ins (on North Street in Northeast Greenwich, on Hoover Road in North Mianus, and on Laddins Rock Road in Old Greenwich).

That compares to the month of March 2026, when there was 1 residential burglary (on Pemberwick Road in Glenville), 8 vehicle thefts (on Mead Ave, Mill St and Richard Street in Byram, on Sunshine Ave and Cat Rock Road in North Mianus, on Pleasant Street in Cos Cob, on Weaver Street in Glenville, and on Richmond Hill Road in Northwest Greenwich), and 4 car break-ins (on Putnam Avenue in Central Greenwich, Riverside and Old Greenwich, and on Delavan Avenue in Byram).

There were a high number of DWIs. For the month of April, 10 DWI's were reported and 14 were reported in March.

Between the Lines: Lock up and drive responsibly.
