In Greenwich, the Republican Party (RTC) is facing recall elections in a battle between the old guard establishment behind elected politicians (Camillo) and a more aggressive uncompromising Republican party. Beth MacGillivray, the new guard Chair of the RTC calls for committed leaders, not deal making politicians, to run it.
Meanwhile in Hartford, a similar mutiny has unfolded. On Friday, Kevin Kelly, Minority leader of the Republican State Senate was ousted by a younger more outspoken first term State Senator Stephen Harding.
The Republican energy is palpable and hopefully constructive.
