Luxury sailboat on the rocks in Greenwich

Locals call the waters east of Island Beach "Hens and Chickens" because of the many big and little rocks in the area. On Saturday June 21 at about 10 am, a 70-foot sailboat ran aground on those rocks.

The three sailors onboard were evacuated by the marine officers of the Greenwich Police Department. They were unharmed. However, salvage operations are underway to remove the vessel.
