The Chancellor of Connecticut's largest public college system (CSCU), Terrence Chang, is begging legislators for more taxpayer funding to avoid tuition hikes and budget cuts. Meanwhile Chang spends lavishly.
Chang's contract provides him with a salary of $403,000, a brand new car, and a $2,100 monthly housing allowance. Governor Ned Lamont announced a probe into his spending, including expensing alcohol, missing receipts, personal use of his state-provided car, using an unauthorized/uninsured driver and excessive spending on meals.
Between the lines: Definitely "tone deaf."
