The Stamford zoning Board is about to approve a developer's plan to build a mix of condominiums and rental apartments on the former Conair warehouse site at 23 Barry Place. The location is across from St Clement Church in Stamford and borders Innis Arden Golf Club in Old Greenwich.
The plans call for 60 four-story townhouses and behind them high density 201-unit rental apartment buildings with 26 classified as affordable. There will be 474 parking spaces. Drawings for the housing complex are here.
According to developers, the plan would revitalize the neighborhood and provide more needed housing including affordable housing. The developers behind the project are led by Leandro Rizzuto Jr. of the founding family of Conair maker of food processors and hairdryers. One section of the property is already home to the newly completed ice rink, Wings Arena.
