Greenwich remembers September 11

Thursday is the 24th anniversary of September 11. The Town of Greenwich will honor the lives lost that day at the 9/11 memorial in Cos Cob Park at 8:46 am, marking the moment the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Later in the day, the Glenville Volunteer Fire Company, which houses a piece of steel from the World Trade Center, will hold its annual evening ceremony beginning at 6:30 pm.
