A year-long investigation into drug trafficking has led to the seizure of large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as the arrests of two Stamford men.

In March 2024, the Greenwich Police Department assisted the Federal DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) in the seizure of one kilogram of fentanyl sent from Los Angeles to a local Greenwich post office. A month later, Greenwich PD’s Narcotics Unit played a crucial role in assisting the DEA Bridgeport office in intercepting a FedEx package containing approximately 30,000 fentanyl pills.

On April 7, 2025, federal agents arrested Tasean Lamar Brown, 35, and Stanley Charles, 44, both of Stamford. They were charged with using the mail to traffic drugs into Connecticut and distribute in Southwestern CT.
