The Greenwich Police Department just published their police blotter for the month of July 2025. The 25 reported incidents of domestic violence are the most of any month this year. Of note is the spike in motor vehicle thefts in July.

There were ten thefts of motor vehicles, back to the high levels seen during the first quarter of 2025. They occurred in Old Greenwich on Sound Beach Avenue near the train station and on Mortimer Drive in the Shorelands area; in Riverside on Carrona Drive near the train station and on Glen Avon Drive off Club Road; in Central Greenwich on Lewis Street near Mason, at the Greenwich Library, and at 11 Bruce Place near the police station; and in back country on Cameron Drive off North Stanwich Road.

There was also one motor vehicle break in reported on Lakeview Avenue off Sheephill Road in the Mianus area.

Police remind residents to continue to lock your vehicles and remove all keys.

Between the Lines: No wonder auto insurance rates have skyrocketed. Let's work together to get these criminals out of our communities.
