The Greenwich Police Department just posted their police blotter for the month of November 2025. They received 2,956 calls for service during the month, one of the lowest months of calls of the year. The number of stolen vehicles, car break-ins and residential burglaries continued at a slower pace.

Vehicle thefts There were six vehicle thefts: Two near the Merritt Parkway off Stanwich Road (one on Stonebrook Lane and one on Winterset Road); Two in Cos Cob (one on Station Drive and one on Butler Street); One in Eastern Greenwich on Putnam Avenue at Laddins Rock Road; and One in the Glenville Area on Mayfair Lane.

Car Break-ins There were four car break-ins: Two in Cos Cob (one on River Road by I95 and one on River Road Extension by Route One), one in Mianus on Perna Lane and one in Byram on Henry Street.

Residential Burglaries There were two residential burglaries in mid Country Greenwich near the Merritt Parkway: One on Butternut Hollow Road off Lake Avenue and the other on Stanwich Road near Guinea Road.

Between the Lines: Seems like many thieves stay home in the cold weather. Too cold for crime?
