Greenwich Mercedes dealer hit by fraud ring

A fraud ring based in Queens, NY, stole $596,000 in merchandise from the Greenwich Mercedes dealership on West Putnam Avenue in late 2021 involving the sale of six vehicles to five separate buyers. Loans for the purchases were approved using fake driver's licenses and stolen and altered personal documents so the cars were never paid for.

One of the perpetrators, Lin Han, 38, of native of Jilin, China living in Flushing Queens was charged with several felonies. He was paid $700 to take part in the fraudulent Greenwich car purchases. He had a female associate carrying a fake Maryland driver's license.
