The Leapfrog Group has announced its Fall 2025 safety grades for hospitals around the nation. The grades are based on the hospital's ability to protect patients from medical errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
Greenwich Hospital was among 14 hospitals in Connecticut that earned a grade of A. Stamford Health was among 5 hospitals in CT that earned a grade of B.
CT ranked 4th in the percentage of A hospitals in the nation after Utah, Virginia and New Jersey.

Here is a link to the study. Good news: Among the many details that go into its A rating, Greenwich Hospital received high marks for not leaving a dangerous object in a patient's body.
Between the Lines: Four states - Iowa, North Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming - have no A grade hospitals. Don't move there.
