Greenwich High School ranked ninth in latest poll

Rankings have just been released by U.S. News and World Report here of the best high schools in the country. In national rankings Greenwich High School (GHS) ranked 419 out of 24,000 public high schools in the nation.

In the state rankings, Greenwich High School placed #9 out of 208 public high schools in Connecticut. GHS lost out to nearby New Canaan #2, Weston #3, Darien #4, Wilton #5 and Staples #6. The #9 ranking for GHS is a drop from last year's 2024 survey that ranked the school #5.

Rankings were based on factors like college readiness, state assessment proficiency and performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.

Between the Lines: It's a pretty good result, but with the highest per pupil spending in the state, Greenwich Public Schools should be at the top. Let's go Cardinals.
