Plans for a new 40,671 square foot ice rink are moving forward after years of deliberations that will replace the outmoded Dorothy Hamill Rink built in 1972. The rink will be regulation-sized with a seat count of 498 and 107 parking spaces. Funding is still being worked out. Estimates put the total cost of the rink, new baseball field and surrounding park at $23 million. Private funding may be available.

An application to Planning & Zoning has not yet been scheduled.
