We will be starting off the year with is the first possible winter storm for the region. This is being monitored closely by our Emergency Management Director Joe Laucella and while the forecast remains in flux as of this morning, we can expect some snowfall for the Greenwich area.
The National Weather Service is expecting snow to begin Saturday afternoon and then, after stopping, resume Saturday night into Sunday. It is not yet clear what accumulation there may be for Greenwich.
The Town will be ready to respond if needed though and our Department of Public Works is prepared. Please be careful when out on the roads during whatever accumulation we do get. Drive carefully and allow for extra time so you’re not rushed.
Any updates to the forecast, if needed, will be released by the Town this weekend.
