The Selectmen's office has received several concerned reports from residents about a large number of feral cats in Old Greenwich. Greenwich Animal control says that a property owner keeps feeding the cats and won't let Animal Control onto the property. The feral cats are not spayed and they multiply rapidly.

Between the lines: Gestation for cats is a mere 63 days, the average litter size is 4 kittens, a cat can become pregnant at only five or six months of age, siblings can mate with each other and parents can mate with their offspring. TMI.
