Eastern Middle School in Greenwich ranks second best in CT

NICHE has come out with its 2026 rankings for the best public middle schools in Connecticut. There are 296 public middle schools in the state. Greenwich's three middle schools received "A" grades

Eastern Middle School ranked #2 with a grade of A+. Profile here

Western Middle School ranked #18 with a grade of A. Profile here.

Central Middle School ranked #20 with a grade of A. Profile here

On a national basis there is still room for improvement. Of the 25,606 public schools nationwide, Eastern's rank was #117. And that's before factoring in competition from private schools.
