Does Greenwich need to improve compliance with the ban on gas-powered leaf blowers

The ban and fines for using gas-powered leaf blowers was brought to you by "Quiet Yards Greenwich". Quiet Yards is the well-intentioned environmental organization behind the ordinance -- an ordinance that has made landscapers unhappy about the cost and risk of battery packs and police weary from complaint calls and ticket issuance.
Now, Quiet Yards is asking you to fill out a short survey about the ordinance here.
The first question on the survey is about how you found out about the gas leaf blower summer restriction. Yes, you saw the yellow signs littered all throughout town. Enough already.
The second question on the survey is whether you have noticed a decrease in the use of gas leaf blowers in your neighborhood? It was missing this choice: I can't tell the difference between a gas-powered leaf blower and a battery-powered one.
The third question on the survey is (a) did you speak to the operator of the blower about the rules, or (b) call the police at 203-622-8006, or (c) inform the homeowner, or (d) ignore it. Ok, admit it, you ignored it.
The final question asks what should be done to improve compliance with the summer leaf blower ban. This last question seems to imply that Greenwich residents are not cooperating.
Between the Lines: Will the results of this survey lead to more rules, regulations and fines until Greenwich residents comply? Hopefully not.
