Did anyone protest against the Obama/Biden gov't efficiency plans in 2011?

A second round of smaller, more performative anti-Musk/Trump protests was held at the Stamford Tesla service center next to Old Greenwich on Sunday March 16. As reported by the Greenwich Patriots, protestors were mainly poorly informed and from outside of the Stamford/Greenwich area. These protests are being funded by mega donors like George Soros and Reid Hoffman through Act Blue.
The buried lead in the story is the striking similarity of the 2011 Obama/Biden government efficiency program to the Trump Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) program underway. See video here. Obama, like Trump, identified absurd programs that taxpayers should not fund such as the website for the Fiddlin' Foresters, a group of musical park rangers, and highlighted the need to close thousands of empty government buildings throughout the country.
