CT beach scorecard: Greenwich gets poor grades

Environmental group Save the Sound has released their annual beach health grades just ahead of Memorial Day Weekend. Almost three quarters of the beaches in Connecticut received an A or B rating based on water quality data (lack of fecal bacteria in the water). 

However, our Greenwich beaches did not fare as well.  Here are the ratings:

Byram Beach: F

Great Captain Island Beach: C

Greenwich Point Beach: C+

Island Beach: B-

We can do better.
