On Wednesday, the Greenwich Town Clerk Jackie Budkins (R) announce the launch of a new online platform for registering and renewing dog licenses. This fully automated online portal will make it much easier for residents to register their dogs, renew existing dog licenses and provide efficiency and savings for the Town Clerk's Office.

All dogs over six months must be licensed by June 30 of each year. The basic fee is $8 with proof of current rabies vaccination. Info here.

In November 2025, Greenwich will hold municipal elections. On the preliminary Democrat slate for First Selectman is Anthony Moor who moved to Greenwich five years ago from California. He announced his candidacy here by claiming that some of the basic services of the town are not working well. He believes "the town is suffering from a lack of leadership manifest in both big issues and every day annoyances, like how there's no way to renew a dog license online".

Between the Lines: Looks like the Republican Town Clerk has jumped ahead of the game on this one.
