At a zoom meeting on Tuesday April 23, Tony Turner, Chair of the Greenwich Central Middle School Building Committee (GCMSBC), in a 4-2 vote was given a vote of no confidence from his colleagues. The reason given was "lack of candor with the committee body and for withholding legal advice that the committee requested." Video here.
Concerns are increasing around the environmental effect of removing 188 trees and blasting of a large rock outcropping in order to construct a new school building at the back of the property while keeping the children in the old building during construction.
Could these mounting issues delay this large project?
