There is a corridor of open space along the Byram River in the northwest area of Greenwich that has been designated a state-recognized greenway. Thanks to the efforts of the Greenwich Land Trust, in partnership with the Greenwich Audubon Society, we will be able to access a trail network encompassing 249 acres running 2.75 miles north to south. This greenway will also help protect the water quality of the Byram River.
Between the Lines: Isn't Northwest Greenwich near Governor Lamont's Greenwich residence? Will this area be protected from the free-for-all of affordable housing complexes and homeless camps mandated by the state under the HB5002 bill that is on Lamont's desk? Urge Lamont to veto this bill here and protect our green spaces.
