A rare area of agreement between CT Gov Lamont and Pres Trump

Last week President Trump called for a new pipeline that would potentially give New England states access to natural gas from the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania. CT Governor Lamont said he would never agree with Trump about his stance on wind and solar power, but a natural gas pipeline is where they could find agreement.

This added supply, would help lower prices for CT residents and provide more winter reliability. Currently, CT generates 58% of its electricity from natural gas power plants and 37% comes from the Millstone nuclear power station.

Between the Lines: Glad to see lowering the cost of living and the cost of doing business in CT are some of the Governor's priorities.
